Doctor Who at WonderCon

Hey Party People!

Happy Monday! Happy belated Easter! Happy April Fool’s Day!

I had a chance to pop in at WonderCon yesterday. Instead of an easter egg hunt, we dressed up in our Doctor Who dress up and took the kids to hang out in the City of Anaheim,CA.

I knew Doctor Who was catching on in the States, but I was surprised to see so many Doctor Who fans. My boyfriend (tenth doctor) and my son (eleventh doctor) were stopped a ton of times and asked to pose for pictures. It was a fun day. I was dressed as the Tardis.

Below is a picture recap. I wish I had taken more. Great way to see more pictures, than what I posted, is to look up instagram hash tags for #wondercon and #wondercon2013

Doctor Who Party

Hey Guys! The Party Went Great!

Pictures down below!

We had Adipose marshmallows, Dalek cupcakes, Bananas (because you always bring a banana to a party), Doctor Who Party Masks and Favors, a TARDIS Piñata.

Games for the Party:
Pin the Screwdriver on the Doctor
Hot Potato (using a plush Dalek)
Dr Who musical chairs

Almost everything i found through Etsy. Here are some of the links we used:
Doctor Who Invitations for Kids here
Doctor Who Invitations for Adults over here
Dalek Cupcake Wrappers from Charming Madness
Tardis Piñata from Geeky Mamas
Doctor Who Masks from BBC Website

I google seached the coloring pages and the banner. I used cardstock for the masks, banner and the cupcake wrappers.

My friend purchased a Doctor Who poster for the game “pin the screwdriver on the doctor”. (which my son later hung in his room) I printed sonic screw drivers and used tape for the kids to pin it on. Even some adults joined in.

Decor was easy enough. I used a lot of blue. Even put some pictures and captions up for non fans to look at.

The cake was actually a spiderman cake from a grocery store that we decorated with my son’s toys. He did the decorating hmself. It was Amy, Rory and Doctor running toward th Tardis, trying to escape giant Adipose marshmallows.

Below are the pictures from the big day!
